Hello and welcome to my website. My name is Nikolaos Apostolakis, and I am originally from Crete, Greece, and permanently resident in Scotland, UK.

I hold a degree equivalent to an MSc in Agricultural Science and Agricultural Engineering from the Agricultural University of Athens, and an MSc in IT with a specialization in Software Engineering from the University of Glasgow.

I have been working as a Unix system administrator and as a systems/application developer since 1999 in various organizations and institutions, primarily in the education, financial, and security sectors. I focus primarily on Unix/Linux operating systems, and I am a strong supporter of free/open source software.
